Our family is here to help you

Joseph H. Lambert was born and raised in Parkersburg along with several brothers and sisters. They grew up in a christian home with biblical principals and learned the value of hard work at a very young age. Joe began his career in funeral service while still a teen and developed a heart for serving people. He worked in the funeral business for many years until other business ventures took him away for a time, but he carried in his heart a dream of one day operating his own funeral home in his hometown of Parkersburg.

In 1990 when property became available on Green Street in downtown Parkersburg and it seemed that Joe's dream would finally become a reality. After months of dedicated and hard work, it was exciting for Joe and his family to see plans come together and a building start to take form.

The business was a family venture from it's inception. Joe and his wife Wilma Howard Lambert were joined by their nephew, Steven L. Tatman, a licensed funeral director in opening the first Lambert-Tatman Funeral in November 1990. Joe and Wilma's son H. Brent Lambert and Joe's brother Thomas Lambert joined to make the origional staff of Lambert - Tatman Funeral Home.

The family continues to be part of the operation of the business, ready to help your family in its time of need.
